A year ago today ReturnMore.com launched. Later this month we are launching version 2.0 with a whole new model for local businesses to be a part of.
Later this month we will announce what ReturnMore credits are and how they can be used at local businesses.
See you soon!
Welcome to 2013!
Starting now, we are offering custom Facebook apps for Facebook page admins! Previously you could only buy our Facebook apps on Appbistro.com. However, we were recently notified from Appbistro that they are shutting down January 15th 2013 and those apps will no longer be available. To continue support to the hundreds and thousands of Facebook pages that use ReturnMore Facebook apps we have built our own system to handle payments and manage the settings all in one place.
You can browse the apps here http://www.returnmore.com/apps/ which include two great YouTube and iTunes Facebook apps for your pages.
Our pricing at launch will be $4.99 per month to use the apps which comes with full support!
We also offer custom Facebook app development, please contact email@example.com and let us know about the project you want built.
Former Appbistro customers
We are very sorry that Appbistro.com is shutting down. You will need to purchase the apps again from http://www.returnmore.com/apps/ or they will expire from your page. If you have recently purchased the any ReturnMore app by November 2012 you will be awarded credit, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact.
Today we are releasing a new landing page after you scan a QR code or enter a ReturnMore URL into your smartphone and are not signed in. This helps first time users to know more about ReturnMore and why they need to accept the permissions. The idea with ReturnMore is to make a very easy way to redeem an offer.
The offer screen has a new REDEEM link which is bigger and easier to click on.
Before users would click on the offer link which would take them to the list of all their offers, then they would need to choose which offer they want to redeem. Now when you click on the new REDEEM link you will be taken to that offer’s redemption screen, we eliminated the extra step.
Today we are launching a new feature that will help mobile users quickly get to their ReturnMore Offers page as quickly as possible.
Before a mobile user would have to enter http://returnmore.com/b/ToniNJoesDowntown on their smartphone device if they did not scan the QR code. This can be a tedious task for a user so we decided to make that a whole lot easier.
Now you will be shown a rmoffers.com URL on a ReturnMore Offer’s page (as shown below where it says tell your friends) and on new flyers:
So now a user can put rmoffers.com/17 on their smartphone device and be instantly redirected to http://returnmore.com/b/ToniNJoesDowntown. This is available now for all our locations. Future ReturnMore Offers flyers will include this rmoffers.com URL instead of the http://offers.returnmore.com/ToniNJoesDowntown or http://www.returnmore.com/b/ToniNJoesDowntown, making it easier for users to navigate to the offers when they don’t scan the QR code.
Remember there is two ways to reach a business’s ReturnMore page, by scanning a QR code or entering the URL. You do not HAVE to scan the QR code or download any mobile app to use ReturnMore.
You probably heard by now about smartphones eventually being your digital wallet. In the next few years it should be interesting to see how fast or slow the NFC technology takes off.
Near field communication (NFC) is a set of standards for smartphones and similar devices to establish radio communication with each other by touching them together or bringing them into close proximity, usually no more than a few centimetres.
ReturnMore Offers which is a service a business can incentivize their customers with offers us
ing a smartphone or tablet device will benefit greatly with NFC technology. Imagine sitting down at a dine in and you see a flyer for a free drink, you tap your smartphone on the NFC sticker attached to the flyer and your smartphone pulls up the ReturnMore Offer to instantly redeem.
There are lots of great ideas I have with ReturnMore and NFC, tons of things we can provide and we will adapt to this technology closely. Imagine walking into a store and you tap your smartphone on a NFC sticker which checks you into Facebook at a specific location. There are lots of functions a NFC can be programmed to do.
Here is a list of NFC enabled phones.
Watch a quick 39 second video from a Google engineer demoing NFC technology below:
